Foundation Course in Fiction Writing for TV at Bengaluru

Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, under its Skilling India in Film & Television initiative announces 20 days Foundation Course in Fiction Writing for Television at Bengaluru.

Following are the details in this regard;

(1) Dates: 11 September - 4th October 2018 (20 days)

(2) Timings: 9.00 am to 6.00 pm

(3) No. of participants: 24 (Course will be conducted only if minimum strength of 20 is reached)

(4) Age: Participants must be 18 years or above in age as on 01st Sept. 2018

(5) Nationality: Indian

(6) Venue: LACE Films, Gandhi Bazaar Circle, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru - 560 004

(7) Fees: Rs 25,000/- per participant (Demand Draft to be drawn in favour of “Accounts Officer, Film and TV Institute of India, Pune”, and must be payable at Pune)

(8) Last date to apply: 27th Aug 2018 by 4 pm

(9) MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Participants must have Laptop having facility of MS Word.

(10) Faculty: Vinod Ranganath - Main Tutor – Writer of acclaimed TV shows like Swabhimaan, Sea Hawks, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Mere Angane Mein among many others. He is also the Main course Tutor of FTII’s 24 week TV writing course and a visiting faculty at Whistling Woods International Mumbai.

Gaurav Asri – Associate Tutor – FTII Graduate in Screenplay writing 2011. Has worked as Senior Producer with a Hindi TV channel. He has also made documentaries short films and TV shows. Currently he is the Course Co-ordinator at FTII in the TV writing course.

so as to reach on or before 27th August 2018 by 4.00 pm.” On envelope of application at top left, write “Application for Foundation Course in Fiction Writing for TV”. Incomplete applications, applications without required Demand Draft, applications received after due date & time etc will be rejected.

(12) Medium of Instructions: The medium of instruction would be mainly English and partly Hindi. Participants are expected to have adequate knowledge of English and/ or Hindi as regards to reading, writing & speaking.

(13) Selection Criteria: First – Come – First – Served basis. However, course will be conducted only if the minimum strength of 20 participants is reached. Selected candidates would be communicated by email. Course fees of the selected candidates will be non – refundable under any circumstances. Demand Drafts of non–selected candidates would be returned within 07 days.

(14) Certificates: All participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory.

(15) Accommodation: Participants need to make their own lodging & boarding arrangements at their own cost.
