The Film and Television Institute of India, Pune an academic institution of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, invites applications for FTII Golden Jubilee Fellowships. There shall be a total of three Fellowships:

Two fellowships for film based research (one for Rs.1 lakh and Rs.50,000/-respectively) |
| 2. |
One fellowship on research in television (Rs.50,000/-) |
The duration of the fellowship shall be of one year.
The eligibility of the applicants shall be as follows:

An eminent media scholar (Film and Television) with published work of good quality or actively engaged in research/writing/media practice/ P.G level teaching at reputed institution for at least 10 years |

OR |
| 2) |
Any scholar with established reputation who made significant contribution to knowledge. |
The topics for fellowships for the first year (2010-1011) will be as follows:
1. Regional film history ( to be specified by the applicant)
2. Major film personalities on whom not adequate research has been done ( to be proposed by the applicant)
3. Theorizing Indian Cinema
4. Political documentaries and activist films
5. Television spectatorship: Case studies based on field work in urban and rural India.
6. Changing contours of nationalism in Indian Cinema

Those eligible may submit their application in English/Hindi with complete bio-data along with brief synopsis of the proposal.
