The posts at Sl.No. 1 to 4 relate to Annual Direct Recruitment Plan whereas posts from Sl.No. 5 to 11 relate to readvertisement for Special Recruitment Drive for backlog vacancies reserved for ST and in compliance to the order passed by Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and in accordance with Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995.

Abbreviations stand for : -

Gen - General, SC – Scheduled Caste, ST – Scheduled Tribe

PWD/ST – Persons with disabilities belonging to Scheduled Tribe

HI - Hearing impairment – Partially deaf(persons with disabilities 40% or more)

VI –Visual impairment – Partially blind (persons with disabilities 40% or more)


Post at Sr.No.1 {Assistant Professor TV Engineering(Technical Operations)}

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential

i) Degree in Engineering of a recognised University
ii) Degree or diploma or equivalent in Engineering in Telecommunication/Electronics from a recognised university or Institute.
iii) At least four years’ professional experience including teaching of technical operations and maintenance in responsible capacity in an organisation or Institution of repute.
  OR
i) Master’s Degree of a recognised University with physics with Electronics or Wireless as a special subject.
ii) At least four years’ professional experience including teaching of technical operations and maintenance in responsible capacity in an organisation or Institution of repute.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have qualification and/or experience in other fields of Film and Television in addition to the essential qualification and experience prescribed above.


Post at Sr.No.2 Chief Librarian

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

i) Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
ii) Degree or equivalent in Library Science or a recognised University or Institute.

(B) Experience :

  At least five years’ experience in a responsible capacity in a large Public library or University Library.

(C) Desirable :

i) Post-Graduate Degree in Library Science.
ii) Experience of handling film library, tape or discs library, documentation work in a large book library or University Library.

Post at Sr.No.3 Assistant Security Officer

Qualifications and Experience

i) Minimum S.S.C. or equivalent.
ii) Should have served not below the rank of JCO or equivalent rank for not less than 5 years, or an Ex-Police Officer in the rank not below P.S.I.

Post at Sr.No.4 DEMONSTRATOR (SOUND RECORDING)

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

Diploma in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering from a recognised Institute, preferably from the Film and Television Institute of India or equivalent.


(B) Desirable :

i) One year experience in Sound Recording either in an independent capacity or at first assistant level.
ii) One year experience of repair, servicing and maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment in a Film Studio, Radio Manufacturing or Marketing organisation of repute.

Preference will be given to those candidates who have qualification and/or experience in other fields of Film and Television in addition to the essential qualification and experience prescribed above.


Post at Sr.No.5 LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

i) Matriculation or equivalent of a recognised University or Board.
ii) At least three years’ experience of film processing work in a Motion Picture Film Processing Laboratory of repute handling work of threading and operating processing machines and compounding of chemicals.

(B) Desirable:

Diploma in film processing of a recognised Institute.


Post at Sr.No.6 STENOGRAPHER

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

i) Matriculation or equivalent of a recognised University or Board.
ii) Speed of at least 100 w.p.m. in Shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in typing.

(B) Desirable:

Previous experience as a Stenographer in a Commercial Organisation or a Government Office.


Post at Sr.No.7 CARETAKER

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

i) Matriculation or equivalent of a recognised University or Board.
ii) At least 5 years’ experience of looking after security arrangements, management of hostel including running of students co-operative Mess, Building and garden and supervision of Mazdoors, Malis and conservancy staff etc. in a large Government/Private Organisation of repute.
iii) Candidate should be able to converse in fluent Hindi and English.

(B) Desirable:

i) Degree of a recognised University.
ii) Knowledge of Typing and Accounts work.
iii) Preference will be given to Ex-Army Personnel.

Post at Sr.No.8 SAFAIWALA

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

Experience of working as Safaiwala in a Government Office, Local Body or large commercial office of repute.

(B) Desirable:

Primary Standard Pass (5th Class)

Ability to read and write Hindi.


Post at Sr.No.9 CHOWKIDAR

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

i) Primary School Standard (5th Class Pass)
ii) At least 6 months’ experience as a Watchman, Security Guard in a Government Office, Military Establishment, Local Body or Commercial Organisation of repute.
iii) Preference will be given to Ex-Army Personnel.

(B) Desirable:

Ability to read and write Hindi and or English.


Post at Sr.No.10 COOK-CUM-CHOWKIDAR

Qualifications and Experience

(A) Essential :

i) Primary School Standard Pass (V Class)
ii) At least six months’ experience as a Watchman/Security Guard in a Government Office, Military Establishment, Local Body or a Commercial Organisation of repute. Preference will be given to ex-army personnel.
iii) At least 6 months’ experience of cooking in a Hostel or guest house under Government, Military Establishment, Local Body or a Commercial Organisation of repute. Preference will be given to a person having Diploma/Certificate in cooking

(B) Desirable:

Ability to read and write Hindi and/or English.


 

NOTE –

The upper age limit (a) is relaxable in the case of SC/ST candidates, disabled persons and Ex-servicemen as per rules; (b) shall not apply to employees of Central Government/State Government or their Corporations, Undertakings or Societies and employees of the FTII; (c) is also relaxable by 10 years for the post of Assistant Professor and Demonstrator (Sound Recording) if they otherwise fulfill the qualifications.

Those who are in service may forward their applications through proper channel. No other posts except Laboratory Technician and Safaiwala are reserved for persons with disabilities. However, persons with disabilities may also apply for other posts in accordance with provision of para 25 of DOP&T OM No. 36035/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 29.12.2005.

The age of retirement in the FTII is 60 years.

TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE

The shortlisted SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid single Second Class Railway fare from the normal place of residence to the place of interview i.e. Pune and back on production of proof of their belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and production of xerox copies of journey tickets to Pune.
