SHORT COURSES:

FTII has been conducting in-service training in TV Production and Technical Operations for Doordarshan staff since 1974.  Over the years new techniques have been introduced in these courses, such as digital recording.  Apart from this, many new need based courses have been added for working professionals and people having interests in related areas.  These courses aim at upgrading the operational skills of participants through intensive learning on latest equipment and technology.  These courses are conducted round the year and offer an opportunity to the participants to benchmark their abilities in a professional environment.  Admissions to these courses are regulated through advertisements in newspapers and public announcements on our website.  So far FTII has conducted courses in basic and advanced videography, non-linear editing, multi-media applications in TV production, documentary production, art direction, make-up, 2D and 3D computer graphics, virtual sets and television productions, TV research methods and strategic television management.
