Terms and Conditions
for Hiring Facilities to Outside Producers

The Producer is required to submit particulars of the hiring of facilities-dates, time, place etc; along with the signed agreement and pay the full amount of deposit for the entire hiring period (+) additional deposit for one shift well in advance in cash or through Demand Draft in favour of the Director, FTII, Pune. |

| 2. |
A shift will be of 8 hours duration, including one hour break for lunch / dinner. The shift / hours will be calculated as per the actual timings of issue of equipment and return of the same. One hour extension will be rounded off to half shift and more than half shift will be calculated at the rate of one shift. The unit of time for the facilities chargeable will be as per the rates fixed for hiring of various facilities. |

Studios will not be given for less than half shift. The sound shift / TV /Video shifts will be as per details given. |

| 4. |
Charges for any damages caused to the equipment etc; during transportation and shooting, will be borne by the Producer. |
| |
|
| 5. |
The Producer will make his own arrangement for transportation of the equipment and crew members unless provided by the Institute against extra payment, if facilities are available with the institute. |

|
| 6. |
The charges shown in the rate list are under revision. |
| |
|
| 7. |
The Institute will not be responsible for any loss of time caused by breakdown of equipment, machinery used during the shift or due to failure of power or any other unforeseen reasons. |

| 8. |
The charges for cancellation of hiring various facilities (excluding of personnel) are as follows:
| A. |
Cancellation one week in advance – 5 % or Rs. 100/- whichever is more. |
| B. |
Cancellation one day earlier of call sheet – 25 %. |
| C. |
Cancellation on the day of shooting / call sheet – 50 %. |
| D. |
The refund amount if any will be made after submission of full report by Unit / Production Incharge. |
| E. |
For items where the equipment is to be carried out of the FTII premises, the actual time of its utilization would be calculated, from the time it leaves the premises till the time it is returned. |
| F. |
The charges for all the mobile facilities exclude the cost of the operating crew. The equipment, while being taken out of the FTII premises, will always be accompanied by the operating crew and charges for their services will be paid by the hiring agency. |
| G. |
Central / State Government Department and Institutes will be given concession of 15 %, for hiring equipment. |
| H. |
Ex-students of FTII will be given 50 % concession for hiring equipment and facilities (except personnel) if he/she is the producer of the film. |
| J. |
If an FTII ex-student is the Director of the film, a 25 % will be given in respective areas. 25 % concession will be given for all documentaries and regional language films (except personnel). |
| |
Concession can be availed only under one head. |

The Institute reserves the right to revise the terms and conditions for providing facilities to outside Producers. |
