Qualifications and Experience
(a) Essential
(i) Degree of a recognized University with Hindi and English as elective subjects.
OR
(i) Degree of a recognized University with English medium in the final examination and with Hindi as one of the elective subjects.
(ii) At least two years’ experience of translation from English to Hindi and from Hindi to English.
(b) Desirable
(i) Knowledge of any one of the regional Indian languages other than Hindi.
(ii) Certificate of Translation Training from the Central Translation Bureau, Department of official language.
NOTE :
The upper age limit (a) is relaxable in the case of SC/ST candidates, disabled persons and Ex-servicemen as per rules; (b) shall not apply to employees of Central Government/State Government or their Corporations, Undertakings or Societies and employees of the FTII.
Those who are in service may forward their applications through proper channel. Persons with disabilities may also apply in accordance with provision of para 25 of DOP&T OM No. 36035/3/2004-Estt.(Res) dated 29.12.2005.
The age of retirement in the FTII is 60 years.
The applicants should fill up the application form after ensuring that they fulfill all the essential qualifications/experience in the prescribed proforma (Annexure) together with attested copies of supporting documents addressed to the Administrative Officer, Film and Television Institute of India, Law College Road, Pune – 411 004 and it should be reached within 60 (sixty) days from the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News.
Each application should be accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.100/- only drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of Accounts Officer, Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, payable at PUNE. Remittance in cash, postal orders or cheques will not be accepted. The envelope should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ______________________” .
TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE
Candidates called for interview will be paid single Second Class Railway fare from the normal place of residence to the place of interview i.e. Pune and back on production of proof of their belonging to the Scheduled Tribe and production of xerox copies of journey tickets to Pune.
